The Vice-Chancellor's blog
The Vice-Chancellor has published her final blog of the 2017/18 academic year. In her blog, she reflects on what she has observed during her first year as Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nottingham, what she has learned, what has been achieved, and where to go next.
Sexual misconduct focus groups
Places are now available for staff and students to participate in a new project to better understand the nature and extent of sexual misconduct both on- and off-campus.
Redeveloping the University's staff intranet
The University is currently reviewing and redeveloping the way we share information internally. Our vision is to create a space that better supports you to find the information that you need, connect with and share ideas with colleagues and understand more about what's going on in and around our University. To achieve this, we need your help, views and opinions. We would be grateful if you could take a few minutes to complete a short survey before Wednesday 4 July. Ten respondents will be randomly picked to receive a £10 Amazon voucher.

People Strategy Committee  June update
The People Strategy Committee meets quarterly to review strategy, advise on approaches and drive delivery on initiatives to improve conditions, ways of working and methods of engagement. A summary of its latest meeting is now available.

Brexit update: Government outlines process for EU citizens seeking UK resident status
The British government has outlined a simplified scheme for EU nationals to secure residency in the UK following Brexit.

Car parking: permit renewals to open from Monday 2 July 2018
From Monday 2 July 2018, car parking permit holders will be able to apply for 2018/19 full permits. These permits are for drivers parking on campus from Saturday 1 September 2018 to 31 August 2019.
Submit your online reading lists
If you recommend specific information resources to your students and would like the Libraries to purchase new resources, please create and submit an online reading list by Wednesday 1 August 2018.

Showcase your research impact
There's still time to submit your entries or nominate colleagues for the Knowledge Exchange & Impact Awards 2018. The awards provide an opportunity to showcase research from across the University.
Sarah Stephenson-Hunter announced as Stonewall role model 
Congratulations to Sarah Stephenson-Hunter, Disability Advisor at the University of Nottingham, who has been announced as Stonewall's East Midlands Role Model of the Year.
Spotlight on... our international campuses
In recent news from our international campuses, the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) has co-established a Big Data Joint Laboratory at the new Ningbo Insurance Science and Technology Industry Park.

Event of the week — From ruin to museum: the creation of Nottingham Castle Museum in regional, national and international context
A one-day conference (Wednesday 4 July 2018) marking the 140th anniversary of the opening of Nottingham Castle Museum and Art Gallery, with special guest Tristram Hunt (Director, Victoria and Albert Museum).

Nottingham City Council is marking the 70th anniversary of the National Health Service on Thursday 5 July 2018, with a celebration event in the Old Market Square. Receptions will be held for NHS staff at the Council House, where thank you messages from the people of Nottingham will be displayed.
